Review highlights
Based on 230 reviewsJIN JOO (Pearl Meat Korean Restaurant) in Baguio is widely praised for its high-quality, fresh meats, particularly its beef and pork offerings, which are central to a satisfying Korean BBQ experience. Customers appreciate the value of the unlimited buffet, noting its affordability and generous portions. The side dishes, though sometimes described as limited, are considered well-chosen and complement the main dishes effectively, with favorites including kimchi and various stews. The restaurant's transition from a specialty meat shop to an all-you-can-eat format has been positively received, maintaining the freshness and quality that patrons expect. Overall, JIN JOO is recognized as a top destination for authentic Korean samgyeopsal in Baguio, celebrated for its delicious food, reasonable prices, and inviting atmosphere.
The meat quality here is top-notch! The best, so far! The side dishes were a bit limited, but honestly, we didn’t mind since most Korean samgyeopsal spots offer so many sides we never end up eating anyway. What they had was just right to go with their flavorful beef and pork. For only 600 pesos for an unlimited buffet, it’s a steal. Definitely coming back for more!
Legit Samgyupsal here in baguio!! I highly recommend the unlimited pork and beef samgyupsal. Very affordable for only 500. I also love their side dishes, especially their fishcake, potato marbles and kimchi stew. I love their fresh beef!!
On the third day of our visit to Baguio last August, my husband and I decided to dine at Pearl Meat Korean Restaurant, conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from our hotel, Eurotel. Despite the rain and chilly weather, we were eagerly excited about our meal. Upon our arrival, the welcoming crew handed us menus, and we opted for the 2nd combo, which included unlimited side dishes, ramen, and we bought two servings of cheese (not included in the combo)Little did we know that we wouldn't need refills because the initial servings were so filling. The mandu was a standout, and we even had a humorous debate about who would get the coveted third piece! The meat was incredibly delicious, especially the flavored variety (I can't recall the name). All the side dishes were equally delightful, as was the iced tea. The ramyeon , with its cheesy and spicy flavors, perfectly suited my taste. We were so impressed with the food that we ended up buying some baby potatoes and kimchi to take home, as they were too delicious to resist! It was truly a memorable dining experience.
Our #1 Samyupsal in Baguio. And for many reasons, it could be yours too. As meat-lovers, this place is haven for us! We have been patrons of this restaurant from years back during their meatshop days. They weren’t a Samgyupsal eat-all-you-can yet then. They just sold korean meats (fresh and freshly cut!) as well as korean side dishes. When they turned into an eat-all-you-can, we started frequenting it. We’ve been eating here for years now at least once a month except when we’re not in Baguio. I only got to review it now because I didn’t really take any photos before hahaha The owners are a Korean family and the place is a NO FRILLS Korean grilled meat stall. They got the basics covered and frankly THAT’S ALL YOU NEED in a samgyupsal restaurant. After all, it’s QUALITY OVER QUANTITY, right? It is the closest to a local Korean samyupsal restaurant you can find in South Korea The MEAT IS DELICIOUS, tender, juicy and most of all FRESH- they cut it fresh every hour to refill the freezer. The delectable side dishes are all in-house and cooked throughout the day. They have fresh PERILLA/SESAME LEAVES which cannot be seen in similar restaurants in town. They DON’T have unnecessary filler dishes that other places have for you to eat so that you won’t consume a lot of meat a typical tactic to make you full even before cooking the samgyupsal itself This resto is straightforward with their meat specialty so don’t expect “add ons” like cheese and the like. You come here for the samgyupsal meat, and their samgyupsal meat will be of the best and freshest quality. It is self-service but servers are around should you need anything. Ambience is your typical ahjumma ahjusshi restaurant in the corner of a market in Seoul. Very authentic experience.
We are huge fans of the place. Haven't eaten there yet but have purchased, on a regular basis, various tender cuts of meat and marinated pork bulgogi for k-bbq night . They also sell yummy fresh kimchi and kimchi radish that's super addictive. Try their homemade soy bean paste. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Its priced reasonably too!
Jinjoo provides the best samgyupsal in whole of Baguio City. Yes, their side dishes are lesser than what other restaurants serve, but Jinjoo’s meat quality is top notch. If you want to focus on eating just samgyupsal, then this is the go-to place. (Also, they’re the only restaurant I know of which serves perilla leaves)
We had dinner here for 499 pesos per person for samgyupsal. It's self-service, so you get your own food. The place is welcoming, with many Korean people eating there. That's why I think this place is popular in Baguio. For meat, they offer three kinds, and the side dishes include kimchi, steamed egg, japchae, radish, and sauces. Must visit if you want an authentic Korean Samgyupsal since the owner is a Korean.
Me and my partner’s go-to-place Samgyupsal place in Baguio. Whenever we visit Baguio, we always provide time to eat here. We always recommend this place to our friends and family who have plans to go Baguio. We’ve been a customers since 2020 and the restaurant’s quality did not change even the pandemic started. The ambiance is like a Samgyupsal place in your typical Korean TV series/movies. So homey.
